Legality of Surrogacy Programs in Armenia 

All legal relations related to surrogacy in Armenia are governed by the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights. Thanks to the clear legal framework regulating the process, surrogacy programs in Armenia proceed smoothly for intended parents, whose rights are officially recognized immediately after signing a contract with the surrogate mother.

A child born through surrogacy in Armenia receives a birth certificate issued by any Civil Acts Registration Office in the Republic of Armenia, regardless of the parents’ or parent’s nationality or country of residence.
